That is what I love about this song. It gives you the impression that you are being chased, pursued, or worse—hunted. As I listened to this song for the first time coming home from Costco, I couldn’t help but look over my shoulder just to make sure no one was in the backseat (or simply check my blindspot). Instead of the Beast, I looked back, and there he was: the Stranger (some other dude just driving in the lane next to me).
The song drives you to movement, and on days like today, I lace up my PF Flyers because I feel the need for speed. The need to run a little faster, jump a little higher because you never know when a Mastiff is going to start chasing you. Or in this, the spookiest of months, any creature lurking in the dark. Regardless, at least you have the perfect soundtrack to be chased now.
