FRESH FINDS
You know those ASPCA commercials talking advocating against animal cruelty with Sarah McLachlan’s “Angel” playing in the background? Talin Everett’s voice is the epitome of that song. Don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to degrade Talin here. What I mean is that the message of that song is the effect that Talin’s singing has on you.
“In the arms of an angel,” Sarah McLachlan sings as they show the most dejected, abused, beaten animals on the planet. "For just $18 a month, only 60 cents a day, you’ll help rescue these animals from their abusers." You are that poor, lonely animal. For some reason you might be wandering around what appears to be a section of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch (aka Trash Island). In modern terms, you are the Pablo Escobar meme, looking as lonely and contemplative as possible. And Talin, Talin is Sarah McLachlan. But oh boy, you are in luck. Instead of just $18 a month, all you have to do is listen to his cherubic melodies, and you can rescue yourself from your abusers, whoever (or whatever) they may be. One listen to his voice and you will be in the arms of an angel. And if you’re lucky, you can literally be in his arms one day. Don’t believe me? Listen here.
