IT'S ME, NOT YOU BY ABIGAIL
But that’s not the case at all! She just switched the phrases around! She’s still using the cliche, “It’s not you, it’s me.”
What are you trying to pull here? You think you can dress it up in a catchy melody and cool synths and think we won’t notice? Not this guy! (Okay, you fooled me for a second.)
Abigail, come on. You can tell the truth. They were the problem. They corrected you all the time. They used words like “irregardless” and “Nordstroms.” They’d steal your food without asking. They even took an accidental curly fry from you. That’s on sight.
Has anyone in the world ever responded to this by saying, “Yeah, you’re right. It really is you.” I’d respect that person. Being nice is overrated in the 21st century. Protect your peace, girl. Even if you are the problem, you’re not supposed to admit it. When in doubt, gaslight, baby!**
*It's important to note hear that I threw the song on and didn't look at the title much. But the song threw me off a little that I thought she was saying the opposite.
**Please don't gaslight. Unless it's funny.
