FRESH FINDS
That story is depressing as shit.
I apologize for being such a Debbie Downer, but I am breaking you down, so I can build you up. "I Don’t Feel Like Dying Yet" by Dad Bod is the exact opposite of that story. This song embodies the days that that little boy failed to see ahead of him. This song is literally (Chris Traeger voice) sunshine and rainbows. It is suede fringe and mustaches. Hippies at music festivals. Backyard summer BBQs with friends and family. Campfires and dancing. A music montage of best friends in a coming-of-age movie. It is not looking at the world through rose tinted glasses. This song projects rose tinted glasses onto the world. It is roller skates on the boardwalk as the sun is setting and the cool ocean breeze cools you off after a hot summer day. It is—in essence—basic people saying "Good vibes only," but keep the vibes and lose the basicness. I swear to God (if God exists), if you are in a bad mood, it will be impossible to still be in such a mood by the end of the song’s 3 minutes and 20 seconds. If you are still in a bad mood after those 3 minutes and 20 seconds, then I think you might need to get your hearing checked. Or you might be like those people who think cilantro tastes like soap, which is tragic because this song is an absolute delight. Like, I feel bad for you if you're not able to consume and appreciate this song like I do because your quality of life is guaranteed to increase.
