TOp ten Lists

Everyone loves a good list. My friends have a tradition where every year we share our top ten albums of the year on a big email chain. It's become one of my favorite traditions, to the point where I am giddy with anticipation months in advance. It's a big reason why I started this blog.

This page is for those top ten lists, as well as any other top ten list we can think up. The takes can get pretty damn spicy, so get ready. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.
DISCLAIMER: All lists are subjective, but if you disagree with us, you have two options: You can either 1) fight us to the death in trial by combat to decide who is right, or 2) admit you're wrong because deep down you know it's true.

FIVE (SEEMINGLY RANDOM) ALBUMS I’LL LISTEN TO TODAY ON MY ROAD TRIP

This is not a top five road trip albums list. I don’t like doing definitive lists like that. My lists are either seemingly random things I’m into or vibing to right now or completely subjective to my tastes. As the title suggests, these five random and all-over-the-place albums fall into the first aforementioned category.
1. Gone Now. Bleachers

I’ve already professed my fascination for Jack Antonoff on here plenty, so this shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone who regularly checks this blog. This album just has road trip energy for me. I can’t explain it.
2. Little Oblivions. Julien Baker

This album came out earlier this year, and I was all for it. Because I’m constantly on the lookout for new music, I actually won’t give a really good new album the time it deserves. It’s time for a revisit.
3. good kid, m.A.A.d city. Kendrick Lamar

I’m a huge Shea Serrano fan and he just started a new podcast called No Skips. This album is the subject of the second episode. In order to enjoy that episode to the fullest, a proper listening is in order.
4. The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me. Brand New

Just like Gabe from the Office, but you know, his character in Silicon Valley, this album fucks.
5. SOUR. Olivia Rodrigo

I’ve already heard so much about this album, but I haven’t had the chance to listen to it. I’m already 100% in on her with the three singles released prior to the album. Just the tweets and memes making fun of millennials listening to her are enough reason alone to check it out. As a 28 year old dude, I have no shame in saying that I hope she’s here to stay. I just can’t get enough of her singing with the seriousness and emotional heaviness of Adele with lyrics riddled with teenage problems and angst.
